Former General Chairman & TCU International Representative J. V. Waller retires after 39 years of service

After 39 years of rail and union service, Brother J. V. Waller retired on September 1, 2007. J. V. began his career with the Southern Rail in 1968 at the John Sevier Yard in Knoxville, Tennessee. He became a union officer in Lodge 6047 early in this career. In 1989, J. V. was elected as General Chairman of Joint Protective Board 200. He held that office until November 2005, when he was appointed by International President Scardelletti as TCU International Representative of Unit 200. An office he held until his retirement.
Brother Waller also served as a member of the Brotherhood Railway Carmen Division Executive Board and served as it's Chairman through two terms. J.V. was very involved in the Democratic Party, he served as the Party Chairman of Union County, Tennessee for many years.
JV's wife Linda also retired on the same date. She served as the Secretary of Unit 200 for the past 19 years. Together the Waller's plan to built a new home in the Knoxville area and travel.
The member's of Unit 200 wish J.V. and Linda many happy and healthy years of retirement together and thank them for their years of dedication.

Several of the guests at the Wallers' retirement party are from left: TCU International Representative Jack Wright, his wife Barbara, Jenny and Bob Wojtowicz, Bob is Past General President of the Brotherhood Railway Carmen Division of TCU.
Due to the retirement of International Representative J. V. Waller, International President Bob Scardelletti appointed Jack Wright to the office of International Representative. Brother Wright has served as Assistant International Representative since 2005. He served as Assistant General Chairman/General Secretary-Treasurer of Joint Protective Board from 1997 to 2005. Jack also served as Local Chairman of two lodges for many years prior to 1997.
TCU International President Scardelletti also appointed Roger Cain to the office of Assistant International Representative. Brother Cain has served as 2nd Vice General Chairman of Joint Protective Board 200 and Local Chairman of Lodge 6060 since 1996.
